How much is delivery?
Delivery starts at £2 for small items, increasing to £3.50 for large items in the UK, and £5 overseas.
You can purchase as many items as you wish for that one price.
How will my items arrive?
All items are put in a pretty gift bag, so they’re ready to give as a present. My outer packaging is usually pink – so you can always spot a Sparkly Place parcel!
What if there is a fault with the item?
I want you to be happy with the item you have purchased from Sparkly Place. If a fault develops with the jewellery, I am happy to fix or replace free of charge within 30 days of purchase. If more than 30 days has passed I will charge a small fee depending on the item.
What happens if I’ve changed my mind once the order has arrived?
Under the Distance Selling Regulations I can accept returns on items as long as I am informed in writing within seven days. The item must not have been worn, or damaged in any way, and all packaging must be returned also. You must pay the return postage, and are responsible until it arrives safely back.
I do not accept returns on custom made orders.
What do I need to do when returning an item?
You remain responsible for the item until it’s safely arrived, so please package it securely and make sure you obtain proof of postage (POP) from the Post Office. You do not need to pay extra for this, and having the POP will enable you to claim the cost of the item back from Royal Mail in the event of the item going missing.
I have a small/larger wrist – what should I do?
What makes buying handmade different is that it’s made for you. So if you have any special requests, just contact me.
Why don’t you use the normal trigger clasp on bracelets?
I have joint problems, and have always struggled with fiddly clasps. When I started making jewellery, I found people had this issue far and wide, and a lot of people like to be able to put on their own bracelets! I try to use clasps that are easier to put on – such as toggle clasps or magnetic. I find toggle clasps are the best of both worlds – easier to put on, but still secure. If you have a preference, just let me know. I can also make stretchy bracelets, avoiding any clasps.
What about necklaces?
I make a lot of necklaces that are long enough to put over your head without having to worry about a clasp. If you’d like your necklace to be this long, or would like a special clasp to be used – just let me know! If you’d like to just see the longer necklaces, then click here.
I have allergies, what types of metal do you use?
I use nickle-free silver plated metal to keep costs low for you. However, I do keep a supply of sterling silver, and am happy to remake your item for an extra cost. I have also made items in 18ct gold upon request – just contact me for a quote.
Will my item always look exactly the same as in the photo?
No, not always. It will obviously be very similar, but I try to make every item unique, so may use slightly different beads, or a different combination.
How do I look after the item I have purchased from you?
Jewellery needs to be looked after including being kept out of damp conditions, and never worn in the bath/shower, or swimming.
To prevent tarnish you can store your jewellery in a plastic bag with anti-tarnish paper.
